Hello, my name is Sally Holmes and until three years ago I was a navy wife and my husband retired after 21 years of active duty. We raised four children while moving all over the United States and finally landed in Orlando. We settled in, bought a beautiful home and expected to stay there forever! Well, as I have learned throughout my life, things never go as planned….In June of 2007 my husband was offered a job here in Milledgeville and much to our youngest daughter’s dismay we moved to Georgia!
I have worn many hats in my life and worked in the government for many years then in the private sector in D.C. and as a perpetual volunteer for numerous organizations and causes in Orlando. I have always had a very entrepreneurial spirit and tried several home-based businesses over the years, some successful and some not! I found a wonderful and very unique company owned by a woman and run by mostly women called Wall Words and became a consultant four years ago. We sell phrases & décor to adorn homes, offices, classrooms, and supplies to support businesses. Right now I am the only Wall Words consultant servicing Georgia and the surrounding areas. I was invited to a Joy of Connecting event because of my business. I was IMMEDIATELY drawn to the JOC concept! I went straight to the web site and started researching Bonnie Ross-Parker and her company and the wheels started turning as I thought about bringing The Joy of Connecting to Milledgeville. I love the idea of a Women ONLY networking opportunity and the fact that these women are so very supportive of each other! Most women will acknowledge that as we get older it is so much harder to leave behind old friends and make new ones and that is another hope that I can help bring women together to form lasting business relationships and personal friendships! I am very excited to officially be a Joy of Connecting licensee and invite you to join us in Milledgeville at one of my upcoming events and see what the excitement is all about!
