Shelley Ogle & Dawn McNutt - Norman /Shadowridge, OK (Licensee)

Welcome! My name is Shelley Ogle, and I am a co-host of JOY of Connecting in the Norman, OK, Shadowridge area. I have two sons, Jake and Trey, and my husband, Jerry, is a firefighter in Norman. I have lived in Oklahoma my entire life, and I love the warmth and strength of those who live in the heartland. I am very involved in volunteering in my community, including PTA and Junior League. I have found that there is so much power and passion behind women who work together for a purpose.

Previously, I was a special education teacher for nine years. Now I am a work-at-home mom as an independent representative for Silpada Designs Jewelry. Silpada has allowed me to meet many great women and make lasting friendships as I share the opportunity of Silpada while getting paid to party! Silpada also allows me needed "girl-time" since I do have to live with three males.

I am so grateful that I found JOY of Connecting. Through JOY of Connecting I am providing an opportunity for empowered women to come together and share their businesses, talents and passions for life. JOY of Connecting dinner events are fun, inspiring, and they allow women to grow professionally and personally. JOC dinner events are a unique marketing experience that you will not want to miss. Hello, my name is Melissa Karim, and I am very excited to be a part of the JOY of Connecting. I would describe myself as a energetic, passionate person who loves people, asks many questions and is always continuing to learn and grow. My background is in education with a Masters in Music Education from the University of Oklahoma. I have a passion for helping children with special needs through music, physical education, and building self-confidence through a variety of activities. I also teach aerobics and sing in a classic rock band.

If I had to use one word to describe my life it would be BALANCE. I have been married to my husband, Farooq, for 12 years, and we have two sons, Zane and Adam. In order to have a balanced personal and professional life, I knew that owning my own business, Your Travel Biz, would be best for me. Your Travel Biz allows me to own my own online travel agency where anyone can book hotel reservations, airline travel, rentals, cruises, and even concert tickets. I also help organizations from sports teams to non-profits set up their own travel site and turn vacations into donations. What I love about YTB, is that we are bringing back the personal relationship to internet travel.

After attending my first JOY of Connecting dinner event, I just knew I had to be a part of this wonderful organization. The JOC philosophy completes my need for balance and combines every aspect of my life that is important to me. Please attend one of our dinner events to experience JOC for yourself.
